Installed a microman industries red/amber 36" arrowstar. The light was mounted to the headliner, eventually I will work on getting a flashshield for the bar.

Will be adding more pictures tomorrow and a daytime video.

Also; waiting to figure out what I'm doing with my front dual talon, and will put a video/pictures up when that's done.

So far, here's a pic:

And a nighttime video [don't mind the talking; had to get someone else to handle the camera while I changed the patterns.]:

I was going to mount it lower, right above the third break light, but I looked at it in the sense that it's a little more discreet, though I will lose coverage if I keep my trunk open, but I usually don't.

I like it, and the commentary, haha.

Is it me or is the right section brighter than the left?

It was the camera angle, my front parking area is on a little bit of an incline, so standing right behind my car caused it to seem a little bit brighter on one side.
The flasher is the Sho-Me flasher that it came with, forget the model #

I think your factory tint strip is cutting down the output...have you tried seeing what it looks like on the deck?

for the technical peeps out there, can the flasher model he has there be used with the micromax extreme tir light or does the unit require a certain amount of lightheads for the flasher to work properly? The light is great but changing the patterns from the unit when it is in the back window is a pain.

The bar looks good, but i would agree about the tint, you may be loosing some punch.

i know thats the model, my question was does anyone know if that flasher can be connected to a micromax tir light ( only two lightheads) on steady burn and still get the traffic patters, or do you have to have a certain number of lightheads for that flasher to work with?

Grumpy is correct, my Talon is having some problems, it was sent off to Whelen today. It is usually mounted up by the headliner, and when I found the tech problems, took it down and was checking out if I could find the problem.

Its not so much the camera angle, its the fact that the microman bars have NO off axis power. They are virtually useless unless you are almost straight ahead of the light.

In my companies defense, yes, GEN I LED's have little off axis, but the farther you get away from the unit, the wider the angle is and brighter it gets. I know it doesn't seem logical, but being right up close to it doesn't do it justice. They really do appear brighter and a wider angle the farther away you get. I would not refer to them as virtually useless.

Amanda, I think it looks good! Wink

CERT-NJ, yes, you could use that flasher on those lightheads. This particular model has eight negative outputs. They also have a six output version 11.1025.006. There is no minimum of outputs that have to be used, but using only two would defeat the purpose of have a traffic director controller.

I do agree, standing about 15' away from my car you can see the light quite well. I was trying to get up close to show the detail. The tint takes away some of the punch, but at the same time, it is very bright. Even in direct sunlight on my car, you can clearly see the light.
