Hi Guys,
I am putting in a Havis Shields console (OEM replacement). I noticed that there is an air duct in the rear of the OEM console. How have people got around this? Is there a shutoff for that duct?
Also this vehicle has the AUX audio input jack for an MP3 player etc., I'm thinking of getting a nice panel mount 1/8" stereo jack and mounting it in the havis console.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jim

| the console comes with blockers for the ducks. The aux input is going to take some time because you need to pull apart the factory wiring to figure out what wires |

| Ok, I havent pulled apart the OEM console yet. I'm assuming there is a wiring harness in there with a bundle of wires for the 12V sockets and other things. Hopefully it wont be too hard to locate. |

| I left the rear vents hooked up on my 02 Explorer with the HS console. I was limited on depth and had to arrange everything kind of backwards, but keeping the rear passengers cool and hot was more important. |

I installed the console today. I put the vent blockers in so the duct would not empty into the console. I have overhead Heat/AC ducts for the rear passengers as well as the 3rd row seating area, so they should still be comfortable.
Thanks for the replies, |
