This is a photo from my department's website of the truck I recently outfitted with all Federal Signal lighting. This truck carries Hurst tools, and will eventually get a pump and tank put in the back for brush fires. I will try to get more pics soon.
3 Cuda Trioptics on the back
4 Quadra Flares on box and front bumper
4 Cuda Trioptics in grille

They are, we have something like those on the truck I posted. That pic was posted a few weeks before final touches were added.
But those trucks look MEAN with those chrome caps on the wheels. |

Did your box have problems with the doors coming open by themselves? You have to SLAM the doors on our truck box to get them to stay closed. Will hopefully get some pics and videos this weekend. |

LMAO... Not sure if you were being sarcastic or what but, I think he meant the truck as a whole... not literally the wheels. |

Not trying to be negative, but why would you put your jaws on a brush unit. I realize that the dept. is trying to maximize the usefulness of their new rig, but wouldn't the jaws do more good on a first out engine or rescue?
Just my 2 cents, nice rig tho. |

| We plan to put Jaw on our squad too, after all it is a Squad and is used for more than brush fires. It is a Brush Rig/Rescue and used to chase the ambu and able to be used when a driver for the engine has not shown up yet, that way you can still do what you need to do without having to wait for an engine. |

Prior to the purchase of this truck we did have all the hydraulic tools on the engine, however since this particular engine was never setup to carry hydraulic tools along with everything else we kind of had stuff stuck off in it wherever we could get it. It was not very easy to get to some of the tools and the engine at this station is an 89 model, and it was getting run into the the ground going to all fire calls and rescue calls. While the engine is slated to be replaced soon, we felt it would be better off to go ahead and move the rescue tools to the new truck which will respond as a "light rescue" with brush truck capabilities. My department has another truck very similar to this one used as a light rescue (Rescue 21). We also have our heavy rescue (Rescue 12), and an engine setup (Engine 22) with rescue tools. You can take a look at them if you like.

| Is it me, or is that red/white striping on the back of the truck to go the other way? I thought the idea was to get vehicles to avoid hitting the truck -- not send them dead-on to the middle of the truck... |

Yeah, I noticed that too. Technically, they are wrong according to the MUTCD.

I guess the folks we take our trucks to, to get the stripping done are not aware of that. |

| The striping looks good to me, makes it look like the motion effect of the white lines moving out to the sides of the truck. The other way would make it look like they were going to the center... |

| Nice to see a rig that's all Federal Signal for a change. All-Whelen rigs can get boring after a while. |

| Nice looking rig. Question, are the QuadraFlares all red or Red/Ambr? It's tough to tell in the video. |

hydrokayak is right. Ouch! The striping has been installed upside-down.
Aside from that its a great looking truck and install. |
