Whatever the local convenience store will let me walk off with. I do prefer Mobil on the run, as they brew directly into a thermal air pot, so the coffee doesn't sit on a hotplate burning. I usually get some Tim Horten's around the holidays from the geat white north. Smile

Have any of you guys looked at the this ?

Many years ago a friend's dad turned me on to the Toddy System - a traditional (mostly) South American style cold brewing coffee maker. It takes about 24 hours to get the 'liquor' - but the result is worth it - a heavy syrup that can be tailored to taste - about 1/4 toddy juice and 3/4 hot water for a 'normal' cup of coffee, and it makes the most awesome iced coffee in the world - just cut the toddy juice with milk (careful the extract is like quintuple espresso) a little sugar and it tastes just like a very strong Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream.

One batch of the cold-brewed extract is about a liter and a bit - can be kept in the fridge for 2 weeks, or frozen for longer. Coffee whenever you want it - and as easy as instant (and yes, I have been known to just drink the extract straight when needed a boost to finish a paper- rocket fuel!!!)

However, don't boil or over heat the extract, it changes the flavor - when you smell the extract for the first time - you will notice the richness (even using bargain basement beans/grounds). Use the roughest grind you can.

It actually tastes like brewing coffee smells - but a benefit - no hot water hits the grounds - so no oil, almost no acid, and a nice caffeine jolt.

I'm very fond of my Philips/Douwe Egberts Senseo coffee-pad system

using Dark Roast, Extra Dark Roast or mocca coffeepads, depending on time of day Wink I use a lot of these pads

Next to that I still use my old and thrustworthy coffeemachine with Douwe Egberts grinded coffee

In the USA there are actually DE coffee-machines around in gas-stations and such! The decafinated version tastes good, according to Paul Wink Wink

Anyone else using single serve brewing machines? I use a Keurig Special Edition Brewing System with the K-Cups.

I like the single serves with the K-Cups because not only can you do coffee, you can do coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. It's nice, especially being in a dorm room for 8 months out of the year. It gets alot of use. I can also program mine to start making a cup of coffee for me at a preset time in the morning, so my coffee is ready when I wake up. One of my best investments yet and my friends love it.

Hear hear! When I travel to a city where I can't get a cup of Tim's, I get the shakes and sweat. What other coffee is so smooth, good and addictive?

I've even seen T-shirts that say "Give me a Tim's and no-one gets hurt!"

It was a little rough on me when I moved here from British Columbia but I have a couple of Tim Hortons here in Maine now, closest is about 25 minutes from my house...I drive right past 4 dunkin donuts and stop for Timmies on the way to work.

If I buy coffee out it is at the coffee shop across from the station- they are using Alterra products.
At home it is a rarity
Wife is spoiled, she gets custom roasted coffee never more than a day or 2 old

Kirkland brand beans, cooked up in my Cuisinart grind n brew machine. I sometimes flavor it with a little Millstone coffee.

On the street working? WAWA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best coffee ever? US Navy, DoD blend, lots of chicory in it, and brewed with water off the evaps, before the chlorinator. Chief's Mess Forever!!
