I picked this up a couple of week's ago: It's nice to have 4 members of your "in laws" working for BMW Smile

2005 330ci with the Performance Package (ZHP). 32,000 mi.
With the performance package they squeeze an extra 10 hp out of the engine, tune the exhaust, lower the suspension, and give you an M-series set of wheels, steering wheel and aero kit including the rear spoiler and front bumper/airdam. I was very lucky to find such an extremely clean car.

Anyways, Tony at www.ledguy.net supplied the lights. He did a great job handling a couple snafus, and I would strongly recommend him. I purchased 6 LED Mini 3s and brackets, plus a flasher.

The flasher controls the two Mini 3s up by the RVM. The others flash with their own internal patterns.

Its a little hard to see, but the switches are installed in the ashtray. It has a fold down cover so you can't see them when its closed.

The videos suck. I think the sun interfered with the RVM lights in particular; you can barely see them. You'll have to trust me when I say they are much better in person. The two Mini 3s by the RVM lose just a little light through the light tint strip, but very little. I would imagine there is a lot of flashback at night, but the grill lights are so bright I won't need them at night.

The rear lights definitely lose some light through th 5% tint, but they work better than the video illustrates.

Night videos posted too.

Nice car. Nice and clean set up. Tony is a great guy, he went through hell to get my X-Trusion to me with the color combo and length in a timely manner.

I put a couple of those in a guys Jeep and I was pretty suprised at the output from those little guys.

Nice clean and simple install. I like it. The minis in the grille are great looking.

Looks real nice, I should be posting my install soon. Wish mine was newer but hey, not bad for a college kid. My only gripe, AUTOMATIC?!

I know, I know, but it was otherwise perfect so I had to settle. The steptronic transmission is very nice, but its not quite the same. Considering everything else I got with it though, it was worth it.

boy, it sure sucks to be u....having a choice between a nice 4runner or a bmw 2door for POV responses.

anyways, great job....very bright at night.

im sure that u wanna keep it as inconspicuous as possible since its a bmw, but have u thought bought adding something in the front dash or behind the rvm for a little extra vis.?

Yeah, life is good, still being single without a wife and kids. Although the big date is 9/27 of this year, so the clock is ticking Smile

What did you mean about adding something behind the RVM? In addition to the two Mini 3s up there? As for the dash, you're right, too conspicuous.

1st of all, congrats.

i didnt have anything specific in mind in the vicinity of the rvm as u already have 2 minis there, but maybe something to add a lil punch (im assuming theres a lil tint at the top of the windshield) cuz the video (even tho u said it was bad) seemed to show a big diff. in the visibility of the grill minis vs. the rvm minis

Nice setup...simple, yet effective.
I have 4 of the mini3's in the grill area of my 2004 Explorer set to x fire. I can tell you, they are very bright and move traffice really well!

Great looking stealth install. Could you post some close up pictures of the mini 3's near the RVM? Thanks

Here are a few close up shots of the lights. The tint strip across the windshield is pretty light, so you can see them, but because of their size they are hardly noticeable. I didn't take an interior shot, but they are hidden from view by the RVM and roof line.

The tint is dark enough in the back to hide the lights completely when they're off.

The new video is much better- you can see that the RVM lights are much more effective. I think the sun interfered with the camera in the film shot yesterday.

That is a nice car. I'm going to install lights on a 535xi Wagon on Sunday. Can't wait to take it for a spin after I'm done.

Yeah, I've done almost all of their cars for the last 4-5 years. I did their wagon last year too along with the two rescues.
