Here is another guy from Mass. that does hand painted shields. They are not the Boston style, but are still pretty cool.

F & T is not making sheilds right now. Check their home page.

Try Box Alarm Leather. Be ready to wait though.

I knew about another guy but his web site say he is not in production anymore.

I actually tried F and T and I got an email from the guys wife saying that she is working on some shields. she said if i get the money in she can squeeze my shield into the production line of what she is working on. It will be hand painted, but a boston style none the less.

Remember that the Boston guys refer to those as "devices".

All I can say is WOW! I contacted F&T shields on sunday night about placing an order. I also read on the page that there production capability was limited due to the owners injury. I got an email from Felicia at F&T shields Sunday night saying she would gladly make the Shield. She emailed me today saying she finished it this morning and shipped it out. Now keep in mind this is a hand painted shield, custom made with what I wanted on it. I cant even get a shield this quick from ThefireStore, and Im sure they are much more capable of producing mass numbers. I also know that F&T probably isnt as busy or overrun with products. Communication between Felicia and I was excellent. She double checked and triple checked what I wanted and did it in 2 DAYS!

I highly recommend F&T if you are looking for a custom shield (or device)

Make sure you post some pics when you get it. I have to say, when I first saw a Boston device, I didn't like it. It looks deformed, but the more I see them, I like them. Definitely different. I might have to look at one if I change rank.

Ok guys, some one asked that I post pictures when it came in....and it came today so here they are.

it is alot different from the regular shields you get from the firestore. The back of the boston Device is actually canvas, which gives it a unique touch. this first picture is of my old shield, compared to the new one.
