eLightbars.org Forum Rules
These rules apply to every forum.
The following rules are designed to make the site more user friendly. If you do not like these rules, please do not post here. The Admin staff may delete/lock any post they deem necessary if a rule has been violated. All spam posts are followed up by contacting the violator's Internet Service Provider, and the company/service for which they are spamming. Those who spam will be removed from the site. The admins of this site have the final say.
You can contact eLightbars staff by clicking the 'Contacts' tab at the top of the page.
1. No Profanity.
2. No bashing other users. Please express your opinion in a civil manner.
3. Members must be at least 18 years of age. Members under 18 must have a parent/guardian make all transactions or posts. Minors may have their parents contact eLightbars to make "parental consent" arrangements. A copy of the permission form is available by e-mailing the staff. We welcome young emergency explorers with proper supervision and guidance.
4. Users are allowed to change the "Username" attached to their account. You must contact an Admin to have this change made to your account.
5. You may change your email address in your profile settings, however your account will have to be re-activated by an Administrator. You may contact an Administrator ahead of time and have the change made for you without your account becoming inactive.
6. Any username change must be followed by a post in the Positive Feedback forum stating the name change.
7. All profile information is required to be listed in English.
8. Members must have a valid location and occupation listed in their profiles. If your profiles becomes non-compliant at any time it will be changed to inactive.
9. Do no post on behalf of suspended and/or banned members. Posting on behalf of suspended and/or banned members is prohibited
10. Transactions on all eLightbars sites must not violate federal, state or local laws in any way.
11. Do not post in all caps. It is hard on the eyes and is considered yelling.
12. Do not post the same message in more than one forum or post the same reply in multiple threads. This is considered spamming.
13. Avatars should be no greater than 90x90 pixels and a reasonable file size. Some users browse on dial up connections, PDAs, and cell phones and this causes tremendous delay. Avatars exceeding this size limit may be deleted without warning.
14. Post bumping is not allowed. Post bumping is defined as replying to a thread only to bring it higher in the thread list. Posts should only be replied to for the purpose of adding new information, lower prices, or a picture/video.
15. Sale/trade/transfer of radio programming software(s) (RSS) and/or any software that is considered to have IP, Intellectual Property, rights is prohibited. Posts relating to such will be removed, and user can and/or will be suspended.
