Ok i have been a vol firfighter for just under a year now and all of you will probably think this is a stupid question but why are there angled wood blocks on some of these helmets? Is this for keeping a door open on inteior attacks?

We have either the Ben II or some of the people on the station for a while have the Carnies Traditional.

Black - FF
Black w/ White Shield - Rank
White - Chief
Blue - Safety Officer

Well I had some close ups of it, but now my internet is deciding what pages it wants to load, elightbars, and my email works fine and the home page on imageshack works, but when I upload it it says problem loading page, same when I try to get to the Whelen site

Here is my helmet prior to replacing the front with my new Safety Officer front (dammit now I need to season that one) Evil or Very Mad . I did however had to commit a sin and clean the bourkes and a couple of salvagable trapezoids, to be seen.

The 31 fire helmet has no stickers, as we are not allowed to have them at that station.

Yeah...unfortunately!

The one that cooked the bourkes did a number on the Scotchlite trim on my pants...there's really nothing like a head first dive down the stairs through a wall of fire, especially after your partner bailed on ya! That being said, I'd really like to avoid doing it again anytime soon! Wink
