Hello guys, My name's Mike Goebel and I'm 22 years old. I'm a Volunteer Firefighter for Fremont Rural Fire Department in Fremont, Ne. I'm married to my beautiful wife Brianna, and have two little girls. Natalie is 3, and Madison is 2 months old. I grew up in Omaha/Bellevue, Ne and have always been interested in Firefighting, Paramedics, and being an LEO. I've spent most my childhood around the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department which is in part one of the biggest reasons I chose Volunteering over applying for a paid department. There is just something about doing it for the satisfaction of knowing that you saved a life, property, or a community and you did it all with no monetary reward. I may later in life purse it as a career, but for now I am enjoying my time as a Volunteer. I used to be on the old board, but I lost touch with elightbars.org. I'm glad to be back, and I'm glad to see that nothing has changed. Thank you John Marcson for creating a Forum like this. You have given people like me a chance to mingle with others about the hobby of Firefighting, and our love of lights.
