I thought it would be cool if we posted pics of tube placement to use as a reference.

How did those end up working in that spot? Did you use the Running light / turn signal functions as well or just the warning? |

Actually what I did was leave the trucks turn signals the way they are, and tied the warning outputs of the controller into the amber LEDs. I combined the outputs of each channel to fire like this:
When the right LED flashes blue, the left LED flashes the same pattern at the same time in AMBER, and vice-versa. Kinda like an X-pattern within the same heads. The customer loves it.
Kinda like a dual color warning HideAway LED before they were produced. I'd like to see Whelen go this route with the HideAway LEDs, like NOVA is doing, but it does present a heating issue. NOVA is releasing the new 2-3 color HideAway LEDS with ribbon heatsinks that can be shaped and formed to accomodate placement of the head.

Hey Cajunblitz:
How hard is it to remove the headlights from the 2007 Tahoe. I have two installs on a 2008 Tahoe and 2008 Suburban. Just looking for info on headlight and grille removal. Thanks.

Mike,
Not hard, just a little time consuming. I don't recommend removing the headlights without taking the fascia off, because the bottom headlight brackets can scratch the fascia if you pull them out at the wrong angle.
There are some 7MM screws in the fenderwells, and some push-lock fasteners. remove those. There are 10MM screws that hold the bottom of the fascia corners to its metal supports under the truck. Remove those.
Remove the top 10MM bolts on the grill.
After you can access inside the fenderwell inserts, look where the fascia meets the fender inside, there are 2 10MM bolts with an alignment piece inset there. Use a long 1/4 ratchet extension and swivel and remove those bolts. If you'ge gotten everything, the fascis should slide forward and off the bumper.
You'll see the lower plastic bracket/bolt for the headlights on the bottm of them. Just loosen them, and remove the ones on to. The headlight should come away from the truck now.
I'm writing from memory, so hopefully if I left something out, someone will add to it.

Correct...
Not that bad of a location though, compared to some that I've had to re-do! |

That is personal preferance I believe. I always believe that the futher away from the factor bulb exspecially the brake light the better so that way the bulb does not get drowned out. |

id like to make sugestion to use plug-in so the tube is all the way in the headlight because there is a decent gap between the outer and inner layer |

I thought about that, but I used the factory hole, which I believe is larger than 1 inch. I did throw a bead of silicone around the bulb too. |

Take the bulb out and tap them up really well. Do not cut the plug off, the ground for the turn signals are tie in with the plugs |

2003 Chevy Impala. These were already done when I got the car, or else I would have put them closer to the reflector.
