Hello,

Would it be ok if I try to use the existing wiring of my SIngle Talon to feed from there letīs say 4 more led heads? those will be 2 Lin4 and 2 LX-4. Wont the Talon steal power from the other led lights?

I want to use the switch of the Talon to turn on the 4 lights too. The Cig Plug is rated to 10 Amps, and the wiring of the Talon is number.... 18? Rolling Eyes

Thanks.

What is the distance from the power source to the lights? You might want to look this over, scroll to the bottom table

The switch in the plug is only rated at 3A as far as i remember so i think that will be your weak link. The cable won't be a problem but unless you want a relay hanging off it it's the switch that could let you down.

Well asuming that my Leds heads are not suppoused to draw much more than 0.40 Amps each, those are 1.6 Amps, plus what the Talon draws, I may get away with my idea...

Your Talon will not steal power from these other lights. But, by putting more lights on a fused line, you increase your chances of blowing the fuse should there be an increased power draw off of these items. Then, when one light goes out, they all go out. If you increase the fuse size, then you increase the chances of damaging the units because the fuse did not blow at its lower rating and now you've lost all your lights again. This time, they won't turn back on with a new fuse. Keep it simple. Wire separate fuses for your lights. Circuitry can be picky. It's an expensive rookie mistake. Do it right the first time.

Put your LEDs on a cig lighter and get a 2 position cig outlet and switch the cig outlet...

+1 RadioShack sells and most stores stock a cigarette cord that is bare on the end has the switch and looks like the talon's, so you could install that or do as Grumpy suggests and just wire that to a always on cigarette cord and take the switch cord and rewire it into a "Y" cable.

I know why you are thinking that because you don't have a place to install a switch, but you want to make it easier to turn them on and off, and you are most comfortable using your cigarette cord for power. This may sometimes not be the answer, but the more effort you put into an install the better the result, the happier you will be with it, and it will be something you can use more readily.

Unless you are planning on keeping the lights inside the car, you should just hard wire it, and find a good switch. Most cars have blank areas for accessories you did not order (or maybe you got everything) and you can typically ask them for a switch to put in its place to activate it.

EDIT: Ooops sorry... forgot you were in Venezuela... I don't know if you have radio shack's or not down there, but I am sure you can find a place that sell the same exact stuff.

If you are afraid of drilling holes in your car you can use something like this. They can be found In alot of stores and you can just stick them on with some 3M double sided tape. I just think hardwiring it would be your best option. But I know how you cant always hack away at your interior. What you want to do can be done but it is not the recomended way.
