First, resize the picture you want with your profile to a size of 90x90pixels.
This is because the maximum avatar size is restricted to ensure fast page-loading.
If you would choose not to resize a picture but use a large one, our automatic resizing software will still scale it down to 90x90 but everyone, including you, will suffer from slower page-loading because of the large picture AND resizing action. So, first resize your image before doing anything else.
Then, upload that picture to your own webhosting server or any free pictures hosting website there is out there. When you place it online, you will receive a URL which leads directly to that picture.
Here, in your personal profile, you can add that URL in the line all the way down below which says: Link to off-Site avatar.
After pressin ok, all your messages will contain your chosen picture as avatar. |
