| Is there a reason the Clear TIR3s are more expensive than the colored? I would think it would be cheaper to make the clear than the colored lenses. but maybe not. I'm looking for a clear strobe to use on my escort vehicle which need to be placed on the front and rear of the vehicle. |

All of the lenses are clear. Its the leds that light up color. It has something to do with the manufacturing process.
Red, amber, and blue are the same price. |

And your point would be what?
Is it that you can dish it out but can't take it?
I was going along with the humor in this thread; INCLUDING what you had already posted. |

| well amber red and green have been out for years and clear and blue are the newest. it all depends on how the lights produced if you take blue red and green and put them together they will produce the white led, but now they can take a blue LED and add quantom dots which glow white in response with the blue LED. but in short it is the process in which they make them that makes them more money. But if you stick with Whelen you only have to pay extra for clear not blue and clear. |
