Howdy from Mid Tn. I am a police officer in the Nashville area. I found this site while looking for ideas for my next patrol car. I've already learned alot, and looking forward to learning more.

Hey, welcome aboard! We seem to be gaining quite a few more LEO's than we started with years ago. Good to see more on here!

I thought \"I\" was the only one that still ran with a full-size spare in the trunk- everyone else says nope- that's what they make wrecker trucks for. I just don't like being a target on the side of the highway!

Very Happy

Most large agencies here drop the spare from the trunk, while most small & medium leave it in. I don't care much either way, but feel like we can do without if we have a few stored at the PD.

We have our spares in the city garage. We don't have access to it at night Rolling Eyes so we figure if we need one, it will have to come off one of the extra cars. Gotta love it when non-police people make decisions!! Evil or Very Mad

Dude, your impala is cool! I'm planning on put a plate bracket on the front of my new (to me) impala when I get it.
