I was playing around with my Led-x lightbar modules and hooked up the ole volt meter to the led itself and it registered at 28 volts! What is the purpose of this?? After I futher examined it, I found it has a transformer on the flasher board to boost the power output to that voltage.

I'm sure it is, but 1 watt Luxeons aren't rated for that kind of direct voltage.


Are Whelens the same way?
