The FD in the town I grew up in has a hill light in service on their 1967 Ford Pumper. The engine 2 has a Beacon Ray, the Rescue Truck has a Twin Sonic, and the grass rig has another Beacon Ray. I wish I could get my hands on them...

Those old Federal lights are still hard to beat. They practically last forever when properly maintained.

It looks like one of the last ones made. The name plate has the modern 'FS' logo on it, so I'd say it was likely made in the early 1980s.

Probably with a 6cyl and geared for 55mph tops. Basically a Jeep pickup with a modified body.

That light was probably new old stock, and never used. Even the screws dont have the little rust spots on it, that everything has on it.

Yup more than likely a 230 tornado. Also has different axles under it. It is a 5/4 ton iirc.
