I have a 47\" MX frame that I just cut down to make a 36\" MX (of sorts anyway). I noticed the lower domes from the 47\" bar have a 1/4\" lip on the flat side. If I leave the lip, there will be a 1/2\" gap between the domes. I'm wondering if there is that large of a gap on a 36\" bar??
I'm thinking about just cutting the lips off & getting the lower domes just real close together.
I don't ever remember a 36\" MX having a 1/2\" gap in the center either.... but, I've never owned one..

The lip needs to be cut off of the lenses, then a thick gasket put on the end of each lens. Squeeze the lenses together as you screw them down to the frame, making sure that the frame ends are sealing. There should be a gap between lenses of 1/8\" when it's all tight.

Edit for dimension: I just measured my 36\" 360, frame is 27 and 11/16\"L
