| That NPS car is probably a GSA lease. These leases run about three years and the cars must be returned in as close to original condition as possible. The NPS pays a substantial penalty for every hole, tear, broken trim piece, and missing part. Our NPS customer has about 25% GSA cars now, and we go to great lengths to accommodate them on this. So, that might be an explaination, but normally, mirror beam wiring won't disturb the trim. It is, however, a huge PITA to run those wires. |

I don't think this is a GSA return issue, I think its a lazy issue. I've run Mirrror Beams on several occasions and while it's not easy, you can learn to do it fairly well. In this particular park, not my home, all of their vehicles are built by volunteers. I suppose that you get what you pay for.
I suspect that different people have built cars at different time. In the same park, I saw and MX-7000 that had the arrowstick lights replaced by LEDs' - most likely Sound Off mini-3's. Someone took some time and did a good job with that. |

I came across a good one yesterday.
Had a retired firefighter come in wanting all the equipment taken off her pathfinder.
All was good until I went to remove the siren speaker.
Took me a while to trace the speaker wires....to the rear axle where the speaker bracket on a bp100 was WELDED to the axle...
one of our friendly...not so bright installers for the city done it for her. |

Here is what happens when you let deputies do their own install on their vehicle. The strobe is no less than half an inch from the housing. I wonder what the heat is doing to the headlight?

I want to know about the Radius radio (why it looks remote mounted)... the only one I knew of was the QuickMount ones, but they actually say "QuickMount" on them and the CPI knock-off siren/light housing as well as the overhead console.
Definitely overkill and some nasty parts to that "install" |

Amazing, he actually has so many lights on the rear deck that he needs a backup camera.
Anyway, that's quite possibly the fugliest setup ever. |

For the first time in my life, I think the word fugly doesn't even cut it. This is beyond fugly... at least with those $50 warts...err.... TIR3's sticking out of the body everywhere...
1) Excalibur dual level lightbar??? Where???
2) If you look closely... no kidding... there's a monitor mounted in the trunk lid... that's showing the backup camera.....just think about it for a second...
On the positive side, the accessories increased the value of the car by 500%.... take away the car and you've got a well-stocked shop. |

Not to mention there are some interesting parts you could take off then sell the car... A dominator modified with 2 LIN3's and 2 TIR3's, power inverters, consoles, $50 warts, AutoEject/Charge unit.
I'd say after you cleanup the mess he is made, sell it you could have a lot of equipment for a reasonable price (I think) |

| He was obviously a major whacker, but I like the overhead console, if it was done right. Not his homemade job. And how did he not get picked up for the graphics, the reds in NYS, or just the fact that he is as poser? |

And the winning bid was only $6K... But it would probably be that much to replace the panels that he put holes in... LoL
And as for the monitor in the trunk lid... I'm guessin that all you'd see is your lower leg considering where the camera is placed... LoL |

Looks like a normal quickmount setup to me. The only place I have ever seen the "quickmount" decal was on the back of the bracket, almost never visible once installed. |

So, does anyone know what kind of overhead console that is? That would be great in the 'Sploder, even though it would have to be a whole lot shorter b/c of the sunroof... |
