| That was actually just sorta soldered there. It wasn't the product you mentioned, IIRC. |

BLE, if you look back in the thread, this is the \"repaired\" vehicle. It was originally a true shame Hugh fixed that.

I am in the process of adding computer mounts in 25 of the local cars. During this time I've come across many, many interesting install concepts. Most I haven't remembered to snap a pic of, but this one I thought was pretty good.
No need to properly tap a factory power line when you have a wood screw handy! I found the above master piece hiding beneath nearly an entire roll of electrical tape. |

Could you use a drywall screw instead of the deck screws? |

I am not sure if the drywall screw would be as efficient of a conductor as the deck screw! |

Thats creative, just when you thought you had seen everything. I saw a good one today, a 4 ga feed from the battery to the lift gate with no fuse or breaker. |

What makes it worse is that they paid a 'professional company' to install their equipment! The added on wire is the main power feed for a Motorola Astro W4......and no, the fuse wasn't anywhere near the 'tap'. |

| If the agency paid for a professional installation, they better take their business elsewhere, and see about getting some type of compensation. |

Here is another one - this time its a civilian Impala hacked into cruiser. Among all of the things found I think the engine compartment full of wood chips was the most unique.
Here is what I did to the car. It is driving me nuts not being able to fix all of the problems I am coming across.

If I were Whelen, I would have to sue them to remove my product. That is in the public's eye. |
