Does anyone have any wiring schematics and/or sound clips for the Federal Model EG 12v Mechanical Siren? I have one of these units on the way to me and I am looking for wiring schematics and a sound clip to see what it sounds like prior to powering it up and finding out the hard way! Laughing Any help is appreciated!

The EG grounds through the case, so all you will need is to connect the power lead to the proper voltage power source and ground anywhere on the case, The mounting bolt is a good place. This is the simplest form of a DC circuit.

Do you have any idea as to what kind of amperage the Model EG draws? Also, what is the preferred wire size for a mechanical siren like this? 6-8 guage power and ground wires? Thanks for the information already provided.

As I recall, the EG motor is about the size of a windshield wiper motor: 10-12 ga. should do it. We used to call it a \"pea wistle\"--great little siren. Enjoy!
