I'm looking at the Whelen Talon Dual and the Predator Dual II. I noticed in the description on the Predator II said it had Generation 4 LED's. Are these bigger, larger, brighter than the Talon's Generation 3 LED's? Is the Predator II a better light than the Talon?

I don't think there is such thing as generation 4.....Yet, anyway. Maybe a typo? Last time I checked, predator II's were gen II or III. This is also a long time debate, which is \"better\". Personal preference is all. Both lights will blind the hell out of you and move traffic equally as well. Smile

The only problem that I have with the Talon is the vertical viewing axis, which I think the Predator II beats it hands down. Other than that, they are both equally impressive head on and horizontally.

I have the Dual Predator II Blue/Blue and honestly it's a nice light, very bright especially at night, looks like a lightning show sorta with the blue/blue. 1 problem I have however with the Predator is the mounting bracket, to speak bluntly here It sucks, In my opinion dual dash lights should come with dual mounting brackets not 1 like the predator or at least 1 that covers the entire light like the Talon has. The Predator mount sucks for this light because when you mount it wherever the light rattles especially when you hit bumps etc, when you don't have the flashback shield on the rattling isnt noticeable as is when it's on, sounds like a drum roll when it hits each time. My advise to you is if you get the Predator put it low and take off the flashback shield, when it's low to the dash board the flash back isnt as bad as it would be up say behind the rear view mirror. If you have anymore question send me a pm or email and ill answer em to the best that i can, this is the first LED dash light i've owned and it's nice minus the few problems.

I believe the 5 watt LEDs are GEN 4, though I may very well be wrong. The Pradator 2 does not use 5 watt LEDs though.
