Most likely asked multiple times before - Where can I find an interior wiring guide for the MX 7000 lightbar? I check code3pse.com but they only have the installation guides. Thank you

It can vary, depending on what is in the bar. For a typical 47\" rotator bar it's:
outboard rotators- red
inboard rotators- red/blk
center rotator / oscilaser- blue
intersection lights- white/blk
driver's alley- yellow
pass. alley- yellow/blk
outboard takedowns- orange/blk
center takedowns- blue/blk
orange and/or white can be the flasher power
You might also have green and green/blk in the cable. A strobe bar is a bit different, so let us know if this helps. Chuck

Thanks,

I've recently acquired an MX7000, although the flasher and the two front facing lamp assemblies were removed prior to receiving the bar. I've got a federal signal FA3 flasher and the two lamp assemblies, which I wish to reinstall. Does anyone know if the Federal flasher will work in the Code 3 bar? When I place power to the bar, all wires serve a function, which would mean that the front flashers must operate simulateously with another function. Does anyone know? I can't seem to find anyplugs where the assemblies would connect, though.
Thank you

Yes, that flasher can be used. You may have to crimp a connector on the power wire for the flasher. Do you see any grey wires laying inside not doing anything?

What options does the bar presently have and how many wires are in the cable?? The standard cable I have seen in the MX has had eleven wires.

The bar has eleven wires (two red, two blue, two white, two yellow, two orange, one black) The red and blue is for rotators, one white cable operates both intersection sweeps while the other does nothing, one orange cable operates takedowns while the other does nothing, both yellows operate each alley light. The bar currently has:
-4 rotators (center is missing)
-two takedowns
-two alleys
-two intersection sweeps
-eight head arrowstik

Would the flasher hook up to one of the unused white or orange?
I don't see any open plugs to hook up flasher and assemblies, although one was previously installed.

You can use either of the two unused wires (white or orange); generally it would be the orange. BTW, the Code 3 700 flasher is designed to mount in the bottom of the bar under the drivers side mounting tray.

Do you see any grey wires running between the driver and passenger side (underneath everything)? If so, those are the factory installed wires for between the flasher and lights. Flashers are really simple to install in the MX. Find end of the orange wire (drives side) under the rotator mounting tray; install a female quck connect (if it doesn't already have one on it) and connect that to the power terminal of your flasher unit. Then connect a jumper wire to run from one of the flasher outputs to the passenger side light and connect to one of the two tabs. Then connect a jumper from the remaining flasher terminal to the driver side light.
