I have a federal beacon ray, model number 175
condition is 10/10, I believe its called a hill beacon
three of the rotator lights sit flat and the third is
mounted up at an angle. I believe the motor is
bad, when I hooked a ground the body of the motor
then hooked power to the two leads, the lights work but
the motor does not turn. Looking for price to replace the
motor. This beacon has the clear glass dome, two clear
bulbs and two red bulbs. The chrome mount has a few small
scratches. The inside of the light looks brand new.
What does one of these lights sale for.
thanks

| Are you sure the motor wire is hooked into the terminal that lights the bulbs? |

If you look closely you will see that the opposite sealed beam of the upward tilted is in fact slightly downward tilted.
Contact John Dorgan at john@sirenman.com for help on the motor. |

There are 2 power terminals on the 175: One for the red bulbs and the motor; the second lights the clear (angled) bulbs (if it's 10/10, the labels should still be attached). The motor power lead should be connected to the terminal that illuminated the red bulbs. Make sure that's is connected and attach a ground wire to one of the screws that cover the gear housing, then try again.
Let me know if you need pics. |
