|
|
I saw on Ebay a 10 rotator directional Aerodynic style lightbar. Up to this point, I had never heard of such a thing. The listing shows an older style directional head that accompanies the lightbar. I have a question about this head though. It states low warning or high warning. I don't see any supplemental lights in this thing, so wouldn't that be the same as saying on or off?
Here is the listing numberon ebay: 280126330856 |

I do believe that the Hi/Lo Warn position is to spin fast or slow. That is what I think not what I know.
Ill call my buddy that has one of these in all blue. |

I've got one in amber, including controller. Not yet connected to eachother, not yet tested.
I believe that on the Aerodynic Folder (somewhere to be found here) the different model25 versions were displayed on the back, including the traffic direction model. |

| Yes. By reversing the polarity they'll spin the other way. I can't imagine it being all that effective, since people may not realize that the \"point of light\" is moving in a particular direction for a reason. |

You could have a glow in the dark fireman waving a blaze orange stick and people wouldnt know what it means. |

I don't think this is acurate, the metal base acts as ground and can be in contact with the car body via the mounts so in reversing polarity it would short out.
As far as I know the bar has an inside out pattern(burst) that is cut in half when the traffic adviser function is used (left or right half turned off) and hi/low would indicate the light power instead of the speed......
It is a very cool find in deed.
I have the same combo but haven't had the time to wire it up.

I have my 44\" four rotator Aerodynic setup to rotate from right to left looking at it from the back. This is because the most common used arrow pattern is right to left, so from the front it will flow from left to right. This can only be done with the older gear driven bars, these are the ones I like since the pattern is always the same.
I would love to have that lightbar, but not for $300. |

| I really liked the S.A.F.E. Pattern. I think it stood for Synchronized Alert Flash Effect. The front rotated towards the center and the rear rotated away from the center, kinda like a center out pattern on an arrowstick. The idea was to warn people away from the emergency vehicle from the rear. The alternating pattern was pretty neat too. I would love an LAPD old style SAFE bar with the steady red and amber rear flashers. |
