|

Hi fellas,
I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a 2001 Chrysler 300m, and I want to install some type of emergency lighting on it. Exterior lighting that is. I originally planned on hideaway strobes, but from my previous posts, I'm torn as to whether or not to get the strobes, LEDS, headlight flashers, or a combination. I don't really want to go too whackerish, just something simple, that when not turned on is basically invisible.
Heres the car-

Any input/ideas would be great. |

Easy, most likely:
4 TIR3s in the grille, if they'll fit between the slats so much the better... failing that, something BIG (600-series?) behind the grille.
Wig-wags, either driving lights or highbeams.
Hideaway strobes... front turn signals, maybe in the existing turn signal in the side-view mirrors, brake lights. Clear tubes all around, high-wattage strobe pack (UPS690 minimum).
Dual Talon above rear-view.
2 Dual Talons on back deck.
LED traffic director high in rear window (Code3 NarrowStik, Whelen Dominator, etc.)
Dual TIR3s on license plate bracket.
That would be a very effective but relatively low-profile warning package. Not cheap, however. |

| Haha that wasn't the answer I was hoping for when I said simple. But still, I can get something out of it. I've already got a dual Talon, so that's check. |

jesus...he said something not whacker-ish....
i would say keep it simple with an SVP 6\" stick/dual Talon behind the mirror, corner strobes and throw a few (3 or 4) TIR3's on the back either surface mounted on the back of the trunk or get some brackets for the back windshield, or...a slimlighter on the deck. IF you want something else on the front you can add in TIR3's on the grill, but i dont know how effective that would be considering how low the grill is. |

Front: Wig Wags / Dual Talon and 2 TIR3s in the grill if you need more in the front.
Rear: Traffic Backer (alternates reverse and brake lamps) and a SlimLighter (MM - TIR6 Version) on the back deck. Again if you need more on the back put some TIR3s either on the back deck or on a license plate bracket.
I would put that dual talon above the Rearview mirror.

Right. That's the way I build stuff. Figure out the way I *want* to do it, then apply a money and necessity filter.
Strobes? They're expensive and hard to deal with, plus lots of current draw. Lose them, go to a Traffic Backer?
Don't want the Talons on the rear deck? Look at something like a 911EP arrowstick or the Code3 NarrowStik that can flash the ends with a traffic director in the center.
Well-equipped and wacker are two different things. If you put four red throw lights on the roof, that would be wacker. |

| I'll agree with everyone else and suggest putting two LEDs in the grill; TIR3, TIR6, LED-X, RECT-25, single talon, all are quite effective tbh. The dual Talon in the windshield that you have and any two of the above listed LEDs in the rear deck combined with a Code 3 narrowstick or 911EP TD28. If you don't want an arrowstick then simply double the LEDs to four. You might want to think about putting a TIR3 in the rear window on both sides of the car for some side warning as well or you could simply scrap some of the LEDs and use hideaways. |
