[quote:3c4ceebbdc=\"Ebay Auction Description\"]Up for auction is one dual-strobe Whelen Dashmiser, model DMP2S.
...
the light is self contained (no strobe power supply needed).
...
If you wanted to hook this up to an already installed corner strobe kit, all you have to do is cut off the plug, take the black wire to chassis ground and take the red wire and connect it to the strobe pack control wires (on a Whelen it's blue or green or both). |
Um, would this even work?; I would think it would mess up a self contained unit. |

| What he is trying say could be easier done just by using the same switch to turn on both. He is not saying to plug it into a strobe outlet; just sharing the the same turn on circuit from the switch. The strobe supply itself would not be powering the Dashmiser; its internal power supply will be doing that. |

| It could be done you'd just have to make sure that the power wire feeding the strobe control wires was rated and fused appropriately for the draw of the dashmiser |
