It's obviously training. I've seen a video - they set an abandoned house ablaze and train on how fire reacts to certain materials, etc.

And at the same time they clear the house out of the way for future development.

Thank God you saw the video, and didn't actually participate, but then again I guess you need to be affiliated as an LEO, EMS provider, or FF to know what is actually going on and be the subject matter expert? Wink Rolling Eyes

There is a pic simular to this somewhere on the internet, only its one of those pricless deals, says somthing about the house belonging to the fire chiefs exwife. She has a EPO on him and his family and since he consideres his family as his fire dept. they where not allowed to be within 1000 feet of her or the property.

Gives me an idea for an educmacate da publik video- show an engine trying to go down the road, but smelly harold won't move over. Smelly harold arrives home, still being followed by engine. Smelly harolds house is fully engulfed. Smelly harold not happy. End of video with some wise crack remark
