Thanks for all the compliments on the truck!
My truck has the solid bench seat with the flip down console on the middle seat. So no room in the console to mount anything. Floor from the seat to the dash is open. I will see about getting some pics.
I will most likely have the mobile from the 92' pulled and installed in the 05'.
Budget wise, I want to be sensible but not on the cheap. The main reason for wanting the gen I LEDs is becase A. I like them better, B. They will match the Slimlighter I already have and C. they are cheaper. We have trucks on the department with these lights as well as members with them in thier POVs and no one has any complaints on warning power.
Thanks for the ideas, I am all ears! |

Had a chance to run by the install shop and here is what I came away with.
He will not install a HLF on this truck, even though SOS makes one. He said something about a resistance monitor or something in the wiring and having a HLF would cause a fire? Not really sure about that but whatever.
He brought out every Whelen LED head he had in stock, hooked them up and showed me what they would look like. I didnt realize the new lights were self contained and didnt require a flasher, so that makes them comparable price wise with the Sho-Mes that do require a seperate flasher. I think I have settled on the LIN4s, but the LINZ6s are sweet as well. In you all's opinion, what would go best with the GenI Slimlighter?
Siren wise, I think we are going to do a Whelen Undercover. Nothing but a power switch on the dash and go to the horn from there. Adding another dash switch for the air horn. I had thought about seeing if he could use one of the stock cruise control buttons I never use for it since they are momentary...
Radio will most likely go in the cubby hole below the cupholders. No need for consoles or mounting rails.
And as much as I would love a Liberty, exterior lighting just isnt my thing.
As always, opinions and ideas are welcomed and appreciated! |

Still looking for ideas for LED heads. Maybe 500 series LINs? |
