2004 Ford Ranger XLT FX4

Removed led flatlighter and added a set of Federal Signal cuda trioptics with universal mounting kit and shield. I didnt want to drill any holes in the new truck so I used the suction cups after windexing the windshield, has held up well after a week of Albany roads. I want to put some more in it so I can justify purchasing a touchmaster delta. Any ideas?

Well seeing how he posted his other truck before I think he stated he cant have anymore lights than that. His Department might be very strict about that.

Hey Stik208, I am planning a Meet and Greet in Albany on Saturday May 10th at 2PM at the Cross Gates Mall. Here is the Orginal Link.

I have a set of tir 3s laying aound but no good real estate behind the grille and I think they would look funny on the outside. I had plans to do them and another set on the rear LP but I am still thinking about it.

Is the grill setup changed from the 01's? I know that I had seen a 2001 Ranger with the honeycomb grill on it, and LOTS of real estate between the grill and radiator. Plus there is usually a nice easy way to take the grill off and mount them. Im sure a pair of TIR3s up front would be a good addition.

Well,
I added some more to it when I said I wouldn't still need to get pics. So have a question, I want to add strobes to the front for some white light cuz everything else is blue. I am looking at a Whelen cps220 I want to put them in the fog lamps but I am not sure if they will fit or melt them. Anyone have experience with strobes placed there on a vehicle like this?

it shouldnt be a problem in the fogs, if you get the 220.

What you need is the grill from an 07+ this is my truck parked next to its \"brother\" at work....Plenty of room behind the the slots on the grill.

I would go for par 36s except I have square fog lights. I already have a few things unseen I will grab pictures tonight.

To bad you don't have the 2008 model either they went back to round fog lights that the PAR would fit into. There was one other year between 04 and 07 I believe that had round ones too not sure. If you do a strobe set up I would be intrested in seeing how you do it as I want either strobes or LED HAWs for my truck.

def. not standard (altho i WISH it was)...i think that the only place that i've heard of in NY w/ whites is Long Island. in tompkins county (where im currently a vfd/ems) and putnam county (my previous residence), they are strict about BLUE only; their reasoning is that clear can only be used w/ official emergency vehicles, and POVs in NY (unfortunately courtesy state) are not considered official emergency vehicles.

i'd def. recommend putting some lx4s or tir3s in the grill and maybe something in the rear like a centered tir6 slimlighter

So here it is
- Whelen Tir 3s in thr grille
- Whelen Flatlighter led on passenger side visor
Give me opinions, I like the flatlighter because I can flip it up and out of sight it is much brighter at night also.

You need something brighter, like 2 dual avengers or an inner edge....

thats only due to the angle of the visor, if he stood a little to the right he'd catch how bright it truly is.

really the only downfall of it besides flashback. i also use one.
