| Does anyone know if on the newest WeCan software what Phase Control does. Does this control the speed of the pattern? |

| No there are 4 phases 0 90 180 and 270. If you set the pattern to single flash for example and then head 1 to 0, head 2 to 90 head 3 to 180 and head 4 to 270 you would get a rotating pattern. Hope that explains it |

| Okay, well what I am trying to achieve is a very fast Zig Zag pattern. Maybe you could help me with this? |

| Have you tried ZigZag and ZigZag Blast under the Bar Patterns section of WeCan? |

| There isn't enough \"phases\" to be able to do a ZigZag, so do as Andy suggests |

| Yes I have tried ZigZag, but its slow. I would like to speed up the pattern. I know with the serial control bars you can speed the pattern up but I haven't found a way to do it on the WeCan. Any help is appreciated. |

The older WeCan software allowed inbetween phases in the advanced mode. I hear that \"advanced\" was taken out, but I don't have the current release.
It allowed 45 or better (don't have the software on this laptop) phase control.
It was good enough that if you did each light head off by one setting, it would look like the bar was spinning...as the two lightheads would be spinning around the bar on opposite sides.
When it comes to some of the flash patterns, you just have to get very creative to get them to look just right. Even though its point/click, you really have to sit and play for awhile. |

I emailed Whelen and asked for a current version to be sent to me and it is a LOT better then the older ones, a LOT more easier to work.
And there are 8 Phases now, 0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, and 315.
What the phase pattern is, is pretty much the delay on when the next light head will fire, so if one is set to 0 and the other to 180, that is alternating.
Kinda hrd to explain but it is made so you can set it to maybe just be off of being alternating for a more random, yet synced looked between 4 light heads, when it is all the same patten, soooo kinda like,
Head A - Head B - Head C - Head D
Head A alternates with Head D
And Head B alternates with Head C
All on the SAME flash pattern but maybe half a second off so it looks like one light head is flashing right into the next one, instead of off-on-off-on.
It is like onnoffffffoooonnnnoooonffff. |

The Customer Service link on the website. Explained to them that I needed a replacement CD and asked how much it would be to get one of if there is a spot to download it. Left my contact info in it and they emailed me back saying they were sending me one. Now THAT IS customer service. |
