The original Dashmiser was around the mid 90's and had twistlock strobes; then Whelen changed to the linear.

USP64-C was the early 90's

The dual helix was not the 73 series. It was the Twin Side Beam series (available in dual strobe, strobe/halogen, or halogen/halogen). I think sometime in the 80's when introduced.

Par46 sealed beam strobes since the 70's at least.

Not sure about the AS-2's.

Well, I've got a pair dual helix strobe units that accept 73 series and some lenses that say Twin Side Beam series.

I think that the lenses were interchangable. But the 73 series used a single twistlock bulb; which could be either strobe or halogen.

The Twin Side Beam heads had the strobes soldered in place and the rear of the housing would have the model name.

The first Dashmisers were a double flash, available as early as 1991. The quad flash and multiple flash came out later, although 1994 was pretty good as a round guess.

The UPS64C came out in either 1990 or 1991. I used to sell a lot of Whelen back then and I installed one in a medic truck that was new that year and the power supply was the \"latest\" at that time.
