How do you configure a CenCom so that the traffic advisor activates in the \"Flash\" mode when a button other than \"Flash\" is activated? (For instance when the pursuit switch is moved to position two or when SW7 is activated)

In the programming, uncheck the \"Cancel Flash\" box under the desired slide switch position to activate \"Flash\" mode on the T/A.

Sound right?

The \"Cancel Flash\" will only turn off the flash mode if it is already activated.

What type of TA are you running? Traditional, 2-Wire, WC?

On the Traditional setup you will find a specific section under the slide switch positions that allows you to activate flash 1, flash 2, or flash 3.

I will most likely be buying a new traffic advisor, the 10 head TIR InnerEdge version which is a three wire model IIRC.

With the 3-wire style the CenCom just switches outlets 8,9, and 10 to control the TA. You will be able to program the unit to activate the outlet that controls \"flash\" with any other push button or slide switch position.
