I am looking into possibly replacing my haw's for some vertex? I want to know what people think of vertex in warning power over the strobes. I have a 690 whelen pack, and 6 hide-a-ways, in a 03 F-150.

Where are your strobes placed that you are looking to replace?

One in each corner/turn signal light, 1 in each fog light, and 1 in each rear red section of the taillight.

I'd be stuck between strobe HAW's and the universal HAW LED's. The vertex's just aren't that effective, in my opinion.

I don't know what the rest of your lighting setup is like, but you don't want all of one type. Ideally, you want a mix of LED, strobe, and halogen. I use a HLF to meet my halogen \"quota\", use strobes in my corners, and do the rest with LED. Works well for me.

There is no right answer here. You're comparing two different technologies. Both of which have their distinct advantages and disadvantages when compared to the other. It all comes down to preference of the customer and the particular application.

I have both, the strobes show up alot better in clear lenses and the
vertexs show up better in the red lenses, this is just my opinion.

i personally would stick with ur current strobe setup. whelen has a nice product with the vertex as an led lighthead that can be mounted anywhere, but i do really like the traditional HAW's intensity and think that the vertex wasnt designed to match that intensity
