| Anybody use the Velcro they use for EZPASS to hold up their dashlights. Want to use it on a viper because the suction cups suck, and the ONLY other option is drilling.... |

| You could put a dab of silicon on the suction cups. This will help it stay on the window and when your finish using the light. You can easily remove it from the window. There have been a few topics about it but I can't find them right now. |

The silicone worked for me for a while. I know some people swear by it, but I ended up swearing AT it!
My Slimlighter with headliner mount is currently held to the windshield with some of the 3M double sided tape, I can't remember the name of it, but black high strength tape with green tab paper. So far, so good. |

Charlie82,
I have used the industrial strength 3M Velcro for lights before. It works okay, as long as you are using a large strip of it. I tried mounting a 911EP LS12 (using the little feet where the suction cups go), but it wobbled too much with the Velcro. I ended up using 3M's VHB double faced tape, and that solved my issue.
Again, the Velcro works great, as long as the mounting area is a decent size compared to the weight of the light. |

| No problem so long as you prep it well and give it time to cure. I had my chiefs Predator II up for 2.5 years until it let loose and we got a bracket. |

| I wouldn't use any other velcro than the 3M Dual Lock (EZPass Velcro) for mounting a light. |

www.BuyHardwareSupplies.com
Radio Shack stores carry it under the \"Superlock\" label: ask for part number 64-2363 (clear) or 64-2360 (black). Either one gets you a pack of four 1\" x 3\" strips for about three bucks. A more economical route to buy is to buy it by the yard from an online reseller such as iTapestore, which offers all types of Dual Lock tape in a choice of widths.
