It was brought up a few years ago, but it died in committee. I would start with your local reps and go from there. Good luck.

| The rep who introduced it last time died couple years back. I thought bout asking my local rep who is house leader. Just not sure there will be enough support .... plus anything north of I-80 kills most things down south... |

Or move to NH where you can run as many blinky lights and noise makers (and they have to pull over) as you want. Some guys have POV's soooo decked out it looks like a boston battallion chief coming down the road |

well, I am a vol. in Illinois, I agree, we need to be able to run sirens in POV's!! go to your local rep. and start a petition, I would be more than happy to sign it... since our FD rarely runs sirens on any call, I would at least like to be able to run sirens in my car! I've got your back brother! |

| I tried getting approval through our sheriff dept since the sheriff has the ultimate decision for my agency. It is sad that my agency covers the tri county area it would be nice to have sirens. But in due time hopefully things will change. If you find out more let me know, would be glad to help if needed. |
