Everyone can call me an idiot or whatever \"nice\" things you want to call me.

I want to take out 2 of the rotators in my all light streethawk (its currently all rotators) and in place of the 2 rotators I want to put in traffic clearing lights (not the intersection clearing lights that go on the ends like they do in an mx7000).

I only have one snag though............I dont have 2 clearing lights to put in Embarassed

Has anyone ever done this and like the outcome........or should I smack myself upside the head for thinking it??

ok, now that that's out of the way . . . Smile

actually, I wold say it all depends on how you use the bar. If your main purpose is to clear traffic so you can get to the station, keeping more light to the front is probably not a bad idea. However, if you respond to the scene as well, and my be on the road at an accident scene, etc, and in/blocking traffic in anyway, you may want to consider leaving the rotator so you have more light to the rear as well. The one thing I WOULD caution, DON'T do this to the outboard most fixtures - use inner ones. Otherwise you're scrificing side warning, never a good idea . . .

last time I tried editing it wouldnt work.

So I thought I'd do this............the all light streethawk is a light for my lightbar collection due to me no longer being a firefighter.

I had originally planned to take out the inner ones to try it out. The outer ones will be staying put as will the center fast rotator.

well, in that case, if the back is going to be facing the wall, more light to the front is probably a good idea too (yeah, I tried to edit my spelling errors on that last post and it wouldn't let me either. I've had that happen a couple times since the board came back online, but later on, even today, it'll probably be back to normal again . . . )

I am thinking of adding all LED's for the flashers............but I'd have to get clear ones so I can use the colored filters over them.

I'm also thinking of putting the lower flasher reflectors in my 52\" streethawk and call it an updated signal stat bar (or whatever the name was of the bars that just had flashers instead of rotators)

Clear LEDs don't mix with color lenses. Match the lenses with the color of the LEDs.
