I got the email, it had a video link from policeone.com. They mainly discussed how secret and magic the lightbar was.

Some of the things mentioned.

Bright enough to consider not using post mounted spotlights in the future.

Amp per amp and watt per watt the brightest bar on the market.

Interchangeable modules: alley doubles as takedown, etc.

5 parts of the bar are patented.

Black solar barrier on top to protect internal components from UV rays.

2.2 inches tall.

Self dimming at night.

If you are looking to see the bar in action, keep looking. It only showed about 10 seconds of it on in what looked like a dark room. ... I wasn't impressed.

Let's hope this was because of the self dimming feature? Maybe it's brighter in sunlight....

HoHum.....

Just a new lightbar. Only thing that caught my interest was the self dimming mode. Other than that, same 'ole, same 'ole...

Only question I still have is \"how does the technology/optics work?\"

It wasn't impresive at all compared to videos we've all seen on here but remember the magic light fairies had dimmed down the bar in that dark room. Their graph shows the bar hitting over 7000 Candela although they don't say in which color, n thats brighter than a Pioneer if what they say is true Shocked We had a TIR6 in blue tested for national standards and that hit just over 1500 Candela at 50m so a jump to over 7000 is massive whatever the color or configuration!
I was impressed by the website info but all the sales banter in the video put me off. Hype does not a good product make, just put it next to a Whelen a Federal and a Tomar equivalent and let us all make our minds up

[quote:c9647a1746=\"rwo978\"]Only question I still have is \"how does the technology/optics work?\"

It doesn't it's magic Confused If it doesn't have reflectors or optics how on earth does it work? If you put something infront of the led it's optics so there's nothing left to do. doesn't make sense Question

When the guy keeps explaining how the bar is 'magic', it makes me think that it just uses the same old technology, but they don't want to admit it in fear that people won't buy it because it's nothing noteworthy.

Guys I am at the show and have seen it in person. It is awesome. When you see it in person you will be blown away. It truly is brighter than any bar I have seen but is focused so the officer isnt blinded while standing near his car. Believe me, its a great product that everyone will like.

How can you say that AND they say that it covers every angle. That doesn't add up. Question

It's supposed to be 2.5 times as bright, but is it going to be 2.5 times as expensive and draw 2.5 times more power? It's most likely going to be a $$$ bar.

Anyone else think the Code3 Rep. was a little evasive at answering some of the questions in the video?

Black sunshade to keep the electronics cooler? I'm so silly - here I thought black absorbed heat, not reflected it. I'll remember to wear black when I go out on hot days from now on.

No offense to C3, but sometime their pricing is a bit...pricier than others for products in the same category. Obviously, R&D, etc. are all factored in...

I'm withholding judgement until there's more info available and some comparision vids posted.

Well in the last to pics of that brochure, is it me or they are using some kind of Total Internal Reflection Modules for Optics?

Now 2.5 times brighter... talk about Led power here, I wonder how they will manage heat to deliver that much light.... Confused

Anyway, Hope Code3 wont make that bar too PSE (Priced Specially Expensive)... Rolling Eyes

Why doesn't everybody just wait until you see it in person before you start bashing the product? We all know you can't judge a light by a video.

I think C3 needs to fire their editor. From the sales brochure:

TriCore is the most
efficient emergency warning light every made.

True.... but why keep everyone waiting for 'weeks on end' with the 'best lightbar on the market' ( as they say ) then show a dark room and a 10sec video.... Sad
