Since we have a rather large community of LEO's on these forums, I thought this might be an interesting thread.

With Election Day and all, what kind of preparations are ya'll taking? More guys out on the streets? Distributing M-60E3's with boxes of ammo? Razz

If the big upset occurs...I imagine some places will burn. Shocked

I read that the Toledo, OH police ordered Supervisors to get familiar with riot equipment just in case.

Chicago is having a big ole party. All vacations and days off canceled, 12 hour shifts, etc. The Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS) and the Illinois Medical Emergency Response Team (IMERT) have been activated. Lots of interesting radio traffic. I am staying FAAAAAAR from downtown.

Burlington Vermont had UVM Police, Burlington Police, and South Burlington Police out in force, they did an awesome job keeping the crowds safe and letting people celebrate.

I bought a couple beers, ate some pizza and hung out with my girlfriend. Toledo, Iowa is not preparing for anything. Keep it in Ohio, rioters!

Well, I do hope everything went okay...hopefully not too many drunken folks running around.

I did hear that some parts of NY had quite a few \"shots fired\" and \"officer in need of assistance\" calls. Shocked

Funny, usually cultures that celebrate by stupidly firing guns into the air tend to be the ones who hate America....

And isn't it ironic how everyone was worried about race wars if McCain won, and yet none if obama did?

Both of these statements just go to show you the quality of people who helped him win. (not saying everyone who voted for him is, but the reason he beat McCain is all thanks to the politically-inept lowlifes who voted for him just so they can have a \"brotha\" in office... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Rochester, NY may take the award for clocest thing to a riot. About 10 overprivilidged students of the Eastman School of Music employed their superior education to stage a late night parade/concert on the street. Since they are certain their Zer0bama cutout and privilidge as students exempt them from obeying police orders they now have additional paperwork to attach to their degrees. BOOKING SLIPS

Rochester, setting new standards in rioting since 1964!

Racist how? Do you know how many people told me they were going to vote for obama just because he's black? That's racist. People like that do not deserve to vote, it's that simple!

Everyone deserves to vote, how about everyone that voted for McCain because they didn't want a black guy as president? Their vote counts just as much as the next person. Every citizen has the right to vote no matter what their motives.

us ignorant???

Almost every party that was mainly African-American at my Firehouse Banquet Hall for the past several months most of their closing and opening \"announcements\" were to go out and vote for your \"brother\" black man Obama. No issues or policies brought up, simply said because he's black.

people that deserve to vote are the ones that know the policies of that candidate. what good does it do voting for someone JUST because of the color of their skin? that is just BS. and it is sad that tons of people voted for obama solely because he is black. and also some people voted just for mccain cause they didn't want a black president. those people do not deserve a vote because they know nothing of what they want from their government.
