Mods, this may be the wrong forum for this so feel free to move it if necessary.

Installers, this is a tentative wiring diagram that I've made using fuse sizes as stated by the manufacturer for the lighting I will be using although I will be fusing for the wire sizes and lengths as stated by the AWG wire guide amperage tolerances. I am posting this pic to get opinions on this idea, so please feel free to point out anything that you would change or improve or completely do away with. All opinions and insight is welcome and appreciated. Thanks!!

EDIT- Ok, I fixed the map light problem that was pointed out to me. Any other ideas on this now?

1. Does the map light require the front lights to be on to work? You might want to have the light on without all of your LEDs flashing, right?
2. Why is a siren switch only controlling a HLF?
3. Can the front and rear lighting be on at the same time or is it one or the other?

Answers:
1. The map light does NOT require the front lights to be on to work. It has it's own power wire.

2. The siren switch is a Unitrol 3000 controller that is a 2 position switch. Position 1 runs the lighting function and the horn ring function of the siren for momentary wail. Position 2 runs the lighting function and then turns on full wail with horn ring switching to sweep when depressed. I am wiring my HLF only to it to keep it separate from the other lights so I can turn off the HLF and siren but keep the other lights running when on scene.

3. The toggle I have is a progressive 2 position switch like the Unitrol 3000. Position 1 will control just the rear and side lighting and position 2 will turn on both rear AND front lighting.

Your idea about the fuse block helped me on this. Thanks, Sean!

Diagrams...wiring...unghhhh.

I know next time I do an install, I'm just gonna ask a few of you guys to make one on here. I don't even know how to run the program you used to make that diagram.

So, in essence...

About the only thing I would change is the HLF wiring. I would only be fusing it at 5A as I would use relays on the output. There are 2 reasons for this, #1 being that the solid state versions output almost a volt less than the input (typically .7V) and some manufacturers (eg ShoMe) only rate the outputs at 4Amps/channel, so even stock headlights are maxing out the device

I didn't want to say anything, but I wondered the same thing.
