Sorry guys I have my opinions of everything that is going down too. I also am active in politics, I vote always. But a public forum with people you will never meet is not the place to voice your opinion, nothing productive will come out of it. I just figured for all of you that are just as sick of it as I am join in. And by join in I dont want to hear your political arguements just throw and \"I'm in\" for a reply to show support, or get creative.

Sorry another pointless thread but this stuff is getting old, and I thought is would end with the election, but apparently not.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions but arguing with other people, whether in real life or ESPECIALLY on the internet is pointless. I've never seen someone change their mind on a political view just because someone else argued a different point. I hate politics, people get so worked up about things they can't change... Evil or Very Mad

I've found that even commenting on politics online or in a firehouse (at least mine) is really quite fruitless - it won't do anything productive, only cause rifts. So, I generally don't do it.

As I said in the admin thread about the \"Who is going to be our next president\" thread, I, personally, am getting tired of seeing complaints about Obama (and there probably would have been just as many about McCain) on the various Web 2.0 forums (Facebook, etc.). Just my personal opinion.

Then don't click on the thread. Wink

While no one's mind will ever change in a political debate, the constant exchange of different points of view is good for skin complexion and the mind.

In all seriousness, these issues that are being debated are those that just might ultimately affect all of us in the near future...very important to discuss, yes? Razz

Hear, hear!!!!

I'm here to say that I'm not one of those panty-waists who are blindly led around by whatever government is installed. I question... I research... and I find what's right. And if by discussing in an online forum provides me with information... then that's what I'm going to do.

If you don't like the thread... don't click on it. No one forces you to click on it. Stop complaining about it.

You know what I'm sick of?? Hearing about wackers. This forum is full of threads about wackers. But I don't see anyone starting threads about that.

You can also bet that I'm going to take my own advice and stay the heck outta this thread.

I resisted as long as I could, but concur, nothing worthwhile ever comes out. These are by no means \"debates\" - debates have rules and structure, whereas what passes for political discussion on the web always degenerates into argument and a really poor signal-to-noise ratio.

And it is essentially pointless - we have what we have, the time for arguing is over, whether your guy won or lost. Either move forward, or just move.

I am in awe of the magnitude of information posted in these political threads and look forward to learning from others daily when I log in. These are men (and women) who have something to share for those of us still willing to learn. These are the caliber of men I will engage in a discussion with. If you don't like it, move on!

Change in this country is coming, but it will not be by the feeble minded who only pile on when things are good and when the pack speaks.

For those on this site who are free to speak their minds, please continue (if the moderators and admins will continue to allow it! Smile ), as knowledge comes from those who wish to share it. For those of us who work, we still have a job to do, and the ruck sack in the corner still weighs the same.

I hate politics in general. It seems like the 17th page of the \"Who's going to be our next president\" forum is just becoming a shouting match. Politics is just a dirty reason for people to argue, fight and back stab. I HATE election years. People get too serious about it.

Thats the thing though, I can speak pretty much on behalf of just the people I know but they have NEVER been excited or even just payed attention to elections. This election people were extremely excited, they were actually going out and getting informed about all the races such as governer and other state races as well as the Presidential election. This is the most important choice made in America and its critical that people get involved. The shouting match in the other forum is just about over, I think its people blowing off steam. The election is over, Obama won fair and square, I am ready to stop debating at this point.
