|

I was going to put this in my old post, but the edit isn't working...
Anyways, I have a Unitrol 80K siren that is wired for \"Option 2\" for the siren tones. First position is wail with yelp override, second position is hi lo with hetro override. My question is, after working fine, I touched a hot wire to the horn ring switch post and now instead of wail, it's working on yelp, and second position goes straight to hetro. I don't think I messed anything up, buy I would like to reset it so I have wail and hi lo back. Does anyone know how? |

The 80K automatically compensates for hot or ground horn ring trigger. Try touching the horn ring lead to hot again while it's in the first position..it should switch back.

I'm guessing that you touched positive to the white \"manual\" wire? If so, the siren will go to the second tone for 8 seconds then revert back to the original tone automatically. Remember, the manual wire needs to touch either positive or negative only momentarily.

| I already did what cajun said, and it didn't help. I will have to try waiting the 8 seconds, although the manual said the override is 5 seconds and I think I've had it on longer than both of those suspenses. Thanks for the help though. We'll have to see what happens... |

Hmm, try unplugging the unit from power and ground for a couple seconds then plug it back in and try again. Sometimes that will do the trick as well.

I was playing around with it and I happened to move to amp. After that, I started getting some cool Powertone-like tones, and that's when I realized that the plug between the harness and the amp was loose. Thanks for the help everyone. It works fine now. |
