|

| I recieved a whelen micro grille-master from ENG17INE here on the boards. It can with a strobe cable. What should I do if I want to wire this to a cig plug and have it on the dash (I have a 2 channel flasher and a cig plug). I need wiring help from strobe cable (R/W/Black wires) to flasher. I know how to get from the flasher to the plug. |

What type of lighthead is it? Strobe, Halogen, LED? |

| I think you just plug it into a strobe power supply. In other words, it's a remote strobe. |

Edit is not working for me and i made a typing error: I recieved a whelen micro grille-master from ENG17INE here on the boards. It came with a strobe cable. What should I do if I want to wire this to a cig plug and have it on the dash (I have a 2 channel flasher and a cig plug). I need wiring help from strobe cable (R/W/Black wires) to flasher. I know how to get from the flasher to the plug.
The sentence in red was messed up originally.
To elaborate: out of the back of the unit comes a strobe cable. it is a strobe lighthead. serial number SAE J 595 I want to be able to stick it into my cig plug and put it on the dash, if possible.
Therefore I do not want a remote unit (power supply) although I have considered it an option.
Thats my latest project |

| If it is a strobe light head and it doesnt have a built in Power supply then you will not be able to use the light. You need a power supply. A 2 Channel flasher will not work. Nothing will work unless it is a Strobe Power supply |

| You could use a small 2 outlet power supply and wire that with a cig plug and then just attach the strobe head to the PS. But as already stated - the lighthead will be useless without a strobe power supply. |

Would imagine it would be possible to do that. Would depend on how much amps the cigar recepticle in the vehicle could hold and how much the power supply is gonna require. |
