|
|
I have recently purchased a SMC16 SignalMaster controller and have been studying the install instructions on Fed Sig's website. I didn't realize at the time of purchase that it is only set up to run a 6 head T/A. I am getting an 8 head T/A. Is there any way possible to wire in a ground for the other 2 heads that I will have on the my T/A so they will flash in sequence or am I screwed and gonna have to sell the controller on here and find an 8 head controller???????
Thanks! |

You can connect the two ends together (1 & 2 on output #1 and 7 & 8 on output #6). If it's not desireable, you'll need the 8 head version.

I had already thought about this and was pretty much gonna go with this idea, but I figured I would ask some of the Fed Sig guys on here about it since the box looks to have the ports to wire up the end heads but the install manual just says that the end wires from the T/A are not used. |

Every one of those types of older controllers are basically the same except for omissions of certain components responsible for outputs 1 and 8 so there's nothing on those two outputs to use.

Ah ha! Well, I guess I'll just have to make due until I can get a proper controller. Anybody got a cheap SMC1 for an 8 head SM they wanna get rid of? I'm broke like the rest of ya, so please make the price cheap!!!! |
