Has anyone seen/installed/used a TA w/a Whelen wireless controler? I've kicked this around to clear some space on my SmartSiren for some other items for functionality issues (not a load problem) but wasn't sure if this is the way to go or not. Any thoughts???

Thanks!

As I understand, you must order with the Traffic Advisor (I am sure there are restrictions - Stuart said that was a TAM83, but it was actually a TA**85, I have doubts about a wireless TAM83). They can put it in anything, but primarily there is an arrow board and arrow stick with them. Nice because you can switch flash patterns on the fly (it includes some less intense ones where it only flashes the ends as opposed to the entire T/A)

If you have a TACTLD, I would stick with that, moduflash is a great warning pattern on that (IMO) and the remote activation is a great feature, so you can move the unit to a less obtrusive place (like the rear of a vehicle).

I'm not sure if you have considered the Nova Wireless Traffic Boss. It is similar to the TAM83, with 8 Bull LED Heads, 12 Directional Patterns, and 7 Warning Patterns. The remote is completely wireless and has an LED display on it, it works up to 150 feet away and the AAA batteries last about a year. The bar only hooks to power and ground, which is something the utility companies seem to like because they don't have to run wires to the cab. It comes with all the options, end flashers, different colors, and its waterproof. There is also an auxiliary module that allows you to control a 20Amp load (other lights, etc) from the remote.

It is on our website: http://www.lightsnsiren.com/products/nova-wireless-traffic-boss

Feel free to contact me for more accurate pricing information.
