|
|
I just purchased two 500 Series LED lights for my grille. They have surface mount adapters on them (#5lsmab).
I want to mount these to or behind my grille of my 97 Tahoe. But to take the grille out you have to take the whole front clip off, which I really don't want to do.
Any ideas on how to mount these without having to take the front of the truck apart.
Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated! |

Undo all the screws and pull forward slightly. There's enough room to get your arms in there. Leave enough wire to make all your connections first, or pull up between the grille/radiator, make connections, then push back down. I premade harnesses and used AMP connectors on each light, which really helped with install.
I have 4 TIR3s hanging on the dual brackets from the topflat part of the grille. Took some work to get them in there, but looks good. |

You could have mounted them like I did with my TIR3 and LIN6. Here are some pictures. How strudry are the lights on there. To me they look like they might not stay that well.
