Is this radio narrowband compliant? I've heard that it was, but I can't find a narrowband option in my software.

The 'g' should indicate that it is capable... but some of the older series didn't like some of the weird frequency splits out there.

ryanm is correct, sounds like you need a newer version of KPG-23D. Version 2.02 is the latest.
