Ok, they've been out for a couple months in VERY limited numbers, but they were officially released today...

We did up a BMW with them on the front and rear, and there was a Honda with them at Copswest....

+1

These are really nice units! Although with 9-diodes they are larger than the three diode IMPAXX/TIR3 type heads, the VIPER EXT models will be suited for a broad range of applications... I have several ideas in mind and customers are loving them. And they put out a tremendous amoount of light!

So with these have they finally figured out how to synch 2 units? The Quadraflares still can't.

....and they won't. The QFs are made for fire trucks where they use a central flasher or just let the lights flash on their own.

Most of the smaller FS lights synch; 3600 series, viper internals, viper externals, impaxx's, etc.

For $170 each I don't think it's asking too much. I can think of applications on the back of service vehicles where all you want are 2 alternating lightheads, but with these you'll have to buy a flasher as well. They already have the internal flasher circuitry, would have been so easy to make them synch.

I think you mis-read his post..........the ViperEXTs are sync-able and the QuadraFlares are not and will not be because of their intended application.

I'm sorry I did mis-read it. I looked at the Fedsig link and it didn't mention the synch capability so I assumed they couldn't. My apologies to everyone.

I'm still peeved that the QF's don't however. There are lots of applications besides fire trucks that need only 2 or 4 larger size lightheads and it sure would make it convenient.
