|
|
I have a dual halogen dashmiser and have 2 questions about it:
1. can you change it so it does more than the 2 flashes on each side?
2. is there a way to change it to a strobe with whats inside without changing anything?
Kinda curious.......I opened it up last night to clean the dust off the inside. |

Pat pretty much nailed it but, I will offer these alternatives.
You CAN buy a different flasher. Fitting it into the housing itself might be interesting.
You CAN buy strobe modules and a strobe power supply and convert it to strobe. |

| It's been a while since I've had a halogen dashmiser apart, but it might be possible to replace the halogen bulbs with a standard HAW strobe tube, and run it off an external power supply. Just a thought that might be cheap, depending on what parts you have laying around. |

A more expensive alternative is to gut the whole thing and put either LIN6 or TIR6 LEDs. I'm a big fan of that:

| You can change out the twistlock halogens with twist lock strobes, and get a replacement power supply that whelen places in the self-contained model. That's what I did with my dashmiser. |

Those modules slide right in to the channels in the housing w/o any adapter or anything?
If so, sweet, I have a TA housing that I might like to put some of those in. |

The endcaps hold them in. |
