OK, I tried the search function first, no luck.
I'm trying to find out if Static Guard would help loosen the left over shavings from a HAW install. Got all of the big ones out, now need to get the little ones clinging to the inside of the lenses.
Thanks for any help. |

| Dont use an air compressor, all that will do is push the shavings further down into the crevices, the best thing is to use a vacume cleaner like a shop vac, I try to drill slow and if possible i drill the lights upside down to keep the shaving by the hol, this makes it easier for the vacume. |

| I put a shop vac in the hole and gently tap the housing to loosen any pieces that are stuck. |

DO NOT USE AN AIR COMPRESSOR!
I use a smaller sized Shop Vac coupled with an accessory kit that uses small diameter extensions which allow me to get in a bit further. |

You don't have to shout about it.
I've used an air compressor on numerous occasions with no problems at all.
I double dog dare you to do it haha. |

| Never tried this on a light housing, but if I am ever drilling a hole and I'm concerned about shavings, I coat the drill bit in grease. Most of the shavings end up sticking to the bit for easy cleanup. The rest I get with a compressor/shop vac. |

| Thanks for all of your help. I got them all out with the shop vac, some shaking of the housings and a lot of words I can't repeat here. |

| Another trick I do is I put a piece of tape over the area I want to drill and then I drill it upside down. I do not get many shavings in the light that way. |
