I just bought two TIR6's from a fellow firefighter. They were working when I checked them out in his car, but now that I have them in my possession one of them does not work. They're about a year old and have been used maybe 12 times.
Any ideas on what might have caused one to not work, and what might I be able to do to fix it?

Well they are under warranty still if they are only a year old. Before you go sending them into Whelen though, what are you using to test the lights?

A battery charger isn't a true 12vdc source. Try going direct to a battery or if you have a power supply (converter) at your disposal, that should do you fine.

You could even use something as small as a 9V battery.

A lot of the 'smarter' battery chargers sense the voltage in a battery before applying voltage. So they are not good test tools at all.

any 9-12v battery should do the trick. most likely nothing wrong with the lights.
